Executive and Revenue System

The district is under the charge of Deputy Commissioner who performs the function of the District Magistrate as well as collector. He is also responsible for the coordination of function of all nation building departments in the district .On the judicial side he is assisted by an Additional District Magistrate (ADM), while on revenue side he is assisted by an Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) and four Assistant Commissioners.

Police Department

The Senior Superintendent of police (SSP) is the head of the Police force. He is assisted by four DSPs. There are 42 Police Stations and 56 Police Check Posts. The working strength of Police force is as under:

The District and Session Judge is the head of Judiciary in the district. He is assisted by seven Additional Session Judges, three Senior Civil Judges, seven Civil Judges and six Judicial Magistrate.
